continental - bread, fruit, juice, cereal and milk, or traditional - eggs, sausage or bacon with bread and juice. These are grocery supplies to stock your kitchen for breakfast, both cottage and suite have complimentary coffee and tea.
Located in the quiet, country-like setting of Hyde Creek, Port McNeill, relax with panoramic ocean views of Haddington Strait and Coast Mountains. Just a short 5 minute walk to miles of cobblestone beaches we are an ideal launching pad for kayak and scuba adventurists looking for short excursions to the local Nimpkish estuary, or week long adventures into the Broughton Archipelage.
Our location is ideal for day trippers, an excursion to Telegraph Cove Resort is a mere 20 kms away. Leave on a charter boat for world class fishing of salmon and halibut in one of British Columbia's most consistent fishing areas, or take a bear expedition tour to spectacular Knight Inlet to view Black and Grizzley bears. Return to Telegraph Cove and visit the Killer Whale Interpretive Centre, shop at gift shops, enjoy fine dining out on the boardwalk, maybe a cool beer at the pub or a latte at the new coffee shop. Then leave the crowd behind and come home to your private and peaceful cabin. In the local neighbourhood see Henschel Fine Arts Studio with an amazing display gallery or take a helicopter tour from Port McNeill Airport. For laid-back North Vancouver Island charm, take short ferry rides from Port McNeill to Sointula, Malcolm Island or to Alert Bay, Cormorant Island exploring historic fishing villages and authentic First Nations culture.
Or, you can leave the car behind and head out by foot. We are a day-hikers paradise with endless backroads, lakes and provincial campsites nearby. There are many opportunities for wildlife viewing or just plain relaxing by a peaceful lake. Kids will enjoy swimming in the warm ocean waters of Stories Beach at Fort Rupert, just 30 kms away, or exploring the museum at Port Hardy, 45 kms away.
